Fixed Wiring Testing

(Periodic testing and inspecting the fixed wiring within the building, distribution boards,cables,fuses, sockets, lighting etc)

Our Test Engineers are fully qualified electriciansand have had extensive additional training to achieve certification and be competent in the testing and inspection of electrical wiring. We are now up to the 17th Edition of the wiring regulations and engineers have had training to ensure that we are compliant.

A Fixed wire test involves the testing and inspection of each individual circuit in an electrical installation/system. The reason for this is to determine the safety of the installation and to reduce the chances of electrical shock

A series of tests is carried out to each individual circuit, submain and the equipment used in the installation. The visual inspection is important to establish many things such as exposed dangerous wires and overheating of equipment/ circuits. The tests carried out include-

 Continuity of C.P.C [Earth], Continuity of main & supplementary equipotential bonding conductors[Main Earths], Continuity of ring main conductors, Insulation Resistance [Cable insulation]Polarity[Correct connections etc] Earth Electrode resistance [Where possible] Earth Fault loop impedance [live-Earth readings] R.C.D[Trip switch functions] Functional test of equiptment.

All of the above tests are carried out to each circuit.

We provide a professional , reliable and accurate service to our customers. On completion of our work we provide an easy to understand hardwearing report that is supplied either hardcopy or emailed including NICEIC certification.
